RMO Eligibility Criteria
1. How are the Regions Divided for the Mathematics Olympiad?
Answer: Our entire country is divided into 25 regions for the pre-RMO stage. The areas are categorized depending on the need for training and selection. There are 25 regions nationwide in which RMO exams are conducted. Each part is assigned under a Regional Coordinator who declares the result at the appropriate time.
Two groups of schools, the JNVs (Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya) and the KVs (Kendriya Vidyalaya), are assigned their regions. From these schools up to 5% of the top performers from 8, 9, 10, 11 standards, and 1% from class 12 qualify for RMO. Students are assigned their region based on their postal code.
2. How to Download the RMO Admit Card?
Answer: A student qualified for RMO can download the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) admit card from their official website. They have to provide necessary details like date of birth and exam roll number, which will let them log in.
After creating a login id, students will be able to access the admit card and selection letter from the page. Carrying the admit card and school identity card is mandatory during verification for the examination or else they won’t be allowed to enter the examination hall. Even during the result declaration, the admit card can help enter the correct roll number to download the PDF format of the result.
