IOM-2023-24: Exam Details

IOM stands for International Olympiad of Mathematics. The National & International tests of Mathematics Olympiad, evaluate the analytical reasoning skills of students in school-level Mathematics. Students of Classes 1 to 12, from all across the country take part in the International Olympiad of Mathematics every year to assess their true potential in the field of Mathematics. The Silverzone IOM exam is totally based on the syllabus prescribed by CBSE/ICSE/State Boards.

IOM-2023-24: Registration Process

A dedicated prospectus with registration forms for IOM is sent to all those schools that are registered with the silverzone foundation. In case your school is not registered with the foundation, you may also request the prospectus by sending an email to the official email address of Silverzone foundation.

Note:

The schools must submit the completely filled registration forms, before the due date of submission. No extension is provided after the final submission date.
Individual registration of any student is not accepted. A student can only register through his or her respective school. Since individual participation in the exam is not permitted, it is mandatory that a minimum of at least 20 students apply for the exam from their respective institutions/schools.
The students participating in the examination should note that their venue for the exam is their respective school, of which they are the current student.
The registration sheet along with the information booklet for the school will be delivered to them in time. After this, it becomes the responsibility of the respective coordinating teachers to generate the roll numbers following the given instructions and guidelines
A copy of all the roll numbers along with the candidate’s registration and school registration sheet should be handed over to the school’s foundation office well within 30 days before the IOM exams are scheduled.
Considering the welfare of the aspirants, it is advisable that various talent exams are conducted as this helps in the improvement of the candidate’s reading and writing skills in addition to the full-fledged knowledge of the subject.

IOM-2023-24: Structure of the IOM

Silverzone foundation conducts IOM at three different levels. Students qualifying each level of the Olympiad are eligible for the next consecutive level.

Level 1: All students from Classes 1 to 12 are eligible to take part in level-1.
Level 2: Only top 1000 rank holders from the first level will be eligible to take part in the 2nd level of the Olympiad. Also, first rank holders from all classes with a minimum of 75% of marks are also eligible for level-2.
Level 3: The third level of IOM 2023-24 will be conducted in New Delhi, India, and the rank holders of the second level of Olympiad, from Classes 6th to 12th will be eligible for this exam.

Note: The exams will be conducted in English, only.

IOM-2023-24: IOM Highlights

All schools may opt for two dates suggested by the Silverzone Foundation, as per the schools’ convenience.
There will be a separate set of question papers for every class, for each exam day.
All participating schools will be informed of the final exam dates, in due course of time.

Eligibility Criteria Level 1

Students from class 1-12, irrespective of the marks, are eligible to apply for the Level 1 exam .
Both, students in India and abroad are granted access to appear for the exam.

Eligibility Criteria - Level 2 Examination.

Those students who are able to get qualified in the level 1 examination with the maximum performance are eligible to sit for level 2.

Only the top 5% of the students from each class will be able to appear for the level 2 exam.
The eligible candidates are the top 25 zone as well as class wise rank holders.
The toppers in class from all the schools that are participating are eligible. At least a total of 10 students from every class appearing in the examination should attain 50% qualifying marks.
While considering the section-wise registration, the eligible candidate will be the top rank holder.

Application Fee

The students can avail the application form at the official website for schools.
The schools taking part must submit the participation form of the students with the name of students to SilverZone Foundation.
The last date to apply for the candidates to apply for the exam is 30th September 2023-24.
The participation fee is Rs. 120 per student.
