Jharkhand MBBS Admission – A Detailed Look
Jharkhand MBBS admission 2020 will be determined through NEET, organised by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board. Admission of students will be on the basis of NEET UG exam itself, making it imperative for aspirants to focus on their rank in this test.
Jharkhand MBBS 2020 admission exam was fixed on May 3rd, 2020, but it has been shifted to July 26th, 2020 because of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. Consequently, every procedure scheduled after this exam is also to be shifted, though currently there has been no update on the same. Students who will qualify this entrance examination can appear for MBBS and BDS counselling.

Jharkhand MBBS Admission Merit List
Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board will release the merit list for admission of Jharkhand MBBS based on every candidate’s NEET marks. This list will comprise details like State-wise merit rank obtained by a candidate, their NEET score, percentage, etc.
Jharkhand MBBS counselling will be held as per the published merit list. There will be two rounds of counselling sessions, for a total of 680 MBBS seats and 300 BDS seats. Read on for details regarding reservation, eligibility, application process, cut-off marks, etc.
Jharkhand MBBS Eligibility Criteria
Following are the eligibility criteria that you have to meet to sit for counselling.
You must be a residing Indian citizen.
You must be a permanent resident of Jharkhand.
You must be between 17 to 25 years of age to apply. Reserved category candidates will receive relaxation as per the applied guidelines.
You must clear your 10+2, with subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. General Candidates have to secure a minimum of 50% marks in board examination from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. SC/ST candidates and disabled applicants will have to score 40% and 45% respectively for Jharkhand MBBS/BDS admission 2020. Following is a breakdown of minimum qualifying percentile for different categories.
General Category – 50 percentile.
General Category – Physically Challenged – 45 percentile

For candidates from General Category = 565 to 575.
For Backward Category 1 and Backward Category 2 = 550 to 560.
Economically Weaker Section = 550 to 560.
Scheduled Caste = 400 to 410.
Scheduled Tribe = 300 to 320.

Documents Required During Jharkhand MBBS Counselling 2020
You are required to bring the following documents, along with one set of attested copy at the time of admission. Failing to provide any of the following documents may result in rejection of the application.
High-school certificate and marksheet.
Intermediate marksheet and certificate.
Two recent passport-sized photographs (same as the ones used in NEET application form).
Caste certificate (if applicable)
Minority certificate (if applicable).
Certificate of physical disability (if applicable).
NEET admit and scorecard.
Government-approved ID proof.
Copy of the application form.
