Assam Medical Form 2023: Dates, Details, Steps and Documents Required



The Assam NEET admissions process for 2023 will be conducted and authorised by the Director of Medical Education of Assam. Candidates who passed the NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) UG would be able to participate in the Assam MBBS and BDS admission counselling process. Candidates must have received qualifying marks in the NEET UG test administered by NTA to be eligible for the counselling process.

Documents Required

Before filling out the application form for Assam Medical colleges, there is a list of documents that a candidate must have to successfully complete the admission process. Mentioned below is the complete list of documents required for admission in MBBS and BDS courses in Assam.

  • NEET 2023 admit card

  • NEET 2023 result

  • Class 10 mark sheet and certificate

  • Class 12 mark sheet and certificate

  • Assam MBBS application form 2023 printout

  • Birth certificate

  • Valid ID proof (which includes Aadhar card/ PAN card, Voter ID card/ driving license/ passport/ ration card or any other document verified by the Government of India)

  • Caste certificates issued by the relevant officials or authority

  • Residential certificate

  • Domicile certificate

  • Physical disability certificate issued by the competent authority (if applicable)

  • Recent passport size photographs of the candidate.


Eligibility Criteria for Assam MBBS and BDS Admissions

If you are aspiring to pursue an MBBS/BDS course in Assam, you must be well aware of the Assam MBBS application form eligibility criteria also. These are as follows:

  • You must crack NEET 2023

  • You must be an Indian citizen

  • Either you or your parents must have been living in Assam for 20 years as domicile certificate is a mandatory document required for Assam MBBS application form 2023.

  • You must pass class 12 examination with the subject combination of Biology, Physics and Chemistry with English

  • You must have passed each subject individually and scored at least 50% in aggregate

  • You must have secured the NEET 2023 cut-off marks

Step-wise Procedure of Assam Medical Entrance Form Fill Up

The Assam medical entrance form, though published online, is supposed to be filled up and submitted offline. Get an idea of the step-wise procedure of the same from below:

Step 1: Downloading the Form

The official website of the DME, Assam will publish the Assam medical entrance exam form tentatively in the second week of June. Click on the link published on the website once it is released. 

Step 2: Filling Up of Personal Details

When you sit to fill-up the Assam medical entrance exam form, you will be asked to fill up personal details of yours. Do this carefully as even a small mistake may bring forth problems later. 

Step 3: Preference List of College and Courses

Next, you will fill up your preferred course- MBBS/BDS- and the list of colleges in order of your preference. You must be aware that your admission will only be considered on the basis of this list and the availability of seats. So make your choice carefully. 

Step 4: Filling Up of Academic Details

In the next step of completing Assam online medication registration form, you will have to give details of your class 10 and 12 results. You need to fill up:

Step 5: Declaration of Assam Medical Form

In the last step, you must sign the declaration form carefully and declare that all the information that you have provided above is true to your knowledge and valid. Be very careful about the information as the competent authority is eligible to take legal action if any discrepancy is found to be present.  In this declaration form, you will have to get the signature of your guardian or anyone of your parents which will again signify that the information as provided by the candidate is all true and valid. 


Steps After the Submission of the Assam Medical Entrance Exam Form

The competent authority will scrutinise your submitted form and the eligible candidates will be called for counselling. Following this, admission to the preferred course of the candidates will take place. There will be two rounds of counselling after the submission and scrutiny of Assam MBBS application form 2023.

There will two rounds of counselling and an additional mop-up round will be conducted by the Director of Medical Education, Assam.

According to the age criteria, the candidate must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2023.
