AFMC MBBS Application Form 2023: Get Complete Details

Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune is a premier medical institute in India. The college is a centre of excellence for medical education and research. AFMC Pune is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, and is recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC)

 

AFMC MBBS (NEET-UG) 2023 Application Form has been released by the authorities online only for eligible candidates. As AFMC 2023 MBBS application form is available only for eligible candidates, it is  mandatory for candidates to confirm their eligibility before filling out the form.

AFMC 2023 MBBS Course Duration

The duration of the AFMC MBBS course is 4 ½ years, followed by compulsory rotating internship training of one year. All medical cadets commissioned into the AFMS will undergo internship training in selected service hospitals recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

 

Internship training will be provided to all medical cadets commissioned into the AFMS in selected service hospitals approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

 

AFMC MBBS Registration 2023 - Eligibility Criteria

Candidates aspiring to apply for the AFMC MBBS registration 2023 will also have to meet specific eligibility criteria. The AFMC registration eligibility criteria are listed below.

 

General Criteria

  1. The candidate should be a citizen of India. Foreign nationals of Indian origin are allowed to be admitted into AFMC only after they have acquired Indian Citizenship or in respect of whom the Ministry of Home Affairs issues a certificate of eligibility. 

  2. Aspiring candidates must be unmarried. Marriage during the course is not permitted. 

  3. The candidate should be medically fit according to prescribed standards by the Ministry of Defence of India. 

 

Age Criteria

The candidate should have completed 17 years on December 31, 2023, but must not have attained the age of 24 years on that date i.e. they must have been born not earlier than January 1, 1999, and not later than 31 December 2005. 

 

Academic Qualification

Candidates must have passed all the subjects they have opted for in the first attempt of qualifying examination as a regular candidate with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and securing at least 60% of the aggregate marks in these three science subjects, as well as at securing not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in each of the science subjects. . Additionally, they must qualify the Class 10th Maths exam.

 

AFMC 2023 MBBS Application Process

Aspirants may go through the following steps to get an idea of the application process for the undergraduate course of MBBS at AFMC.

 

Step 1: Registration 

Aspiring candidates should keep their NEET 2023 admit cards handy while filling out the AFMC MBBS application form to fill in some details. They will have to register on the official website of the Armed Forces Medical College by providing valid credentials. For the first step of AFMC MBBS registration 2023, aspirants will require their date of birth and NEET roll number. It is suggested that aspirants should note down their credentials to manage all future logins. 

 

Step 2: Application Form

After successful registration, aspirants must log in to their accounts and fill out all the required fields in the AFMC application form 2023. The Directorate General of Health Services withholds the details of the mandatory fields to be filled out in the AFMC MBBS application form due to security requirements. 

 

Step 3: Application Fee Payment

The next step in the AFMC MBBS registration 2023 is the payment of the application fee. After filling out all the required fields in the application form, aspirants will be navigated to the payment gateway. For paying the application fee offline, aspirants will need to download the generated challan and make the payment at a mentioned bank outlet using the same.

Step 4: Submission of AFMC MBBS Application Form

After the payment of the application fee, aspirants will be navigated to the submission page and may submit the filled-out application form. It is suggested that aspirants recheck all the information they provide in the application form before submitting it. Also, they may print the application form for their future reference.

 

AFMC MBBS Exam Result 2023

The exam conducting authority released AFMC MBBS results in July 2023. Candidates can check their results by visiting AFMC's official website. The result is released for every shortlisted candidate in the merit form. Candidates will be able to check the complete merit list by visiting AFMC's official website.

 

Note:  Authority will not send any result to any candidates individually by post or any other offline mode. 

 

AFMC MBBS 2023 Cut-Off

The authorities will release the AFMC MBBS 2023 for every registered candidate through online mode. AFM MBBS cut-off is the minimum mark candidates have to score to be eligible for admission in the MBBS programs of AFMC. The authorities release a separate cut-off list for every category annually. 

 

Candidates will have to score the marks as per their category. Candidates who meet the cut-off criteria are further called for the admission process. Candidates will be able to check the AFMC MBBS 2023 cut-off from the website of the exam conducting authority.


AFMC MBBS Registration 2023 - Verification of Documents  During Counselling

The Directorate General of Health Services, Indian Army, will screen all the applications and generate a merit list for the AFMC counselling 2023. The counselling sessions will be conducted at the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune premises, and qualifying candidates will have to attend their respective counselling slots there. 

 

The qualifying candidates will be asked to furnish the following documents for the final procedure of AFMC admissions at the college premises.

  • A government-issued identification proof, as an age-proof.

AFMC MBBS 2023 Selection Procedure

Candidate's admission to the 2023 MBBS programs of AFMC, Pune, will be based on the merit list prepared by the authority. The authorities will prepare the AFMC 2023 merit list based on candidates' performance in the NEET UG 2023, ToELR Written Test, and Interview Round.

 

AFMC MBBS Number of Seats 2023

A total of 145 medical cadets will be admitted in 2023. Out of 145 cadets, 115 are boys, and 30 are girls. In addition to the above 145 seats, Govt of India, at its discretion through the Ministry of External Affairs & Ministry of Defence, may sponsor and select five NEET(UG) qualified foreign students from friendly foreign countries for MBBS training in AFMC. According to existing policies, out of 145 seats, upto 10 seats are offered to candidates from Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST).
