Important Highlights of AFMC MBBS Application Form 

The prestigious medical institute of Armed Forces Medical College will be releasing its application form for the undergraduate MBBS course in mid-June 2020. Being one of the most competent medical education and research organizations of India, AFMC conducts a screening test for the eligible aspirants. Aspirants will have to meet the NEET cut-off score as the preliminary eligibility criteria for admission in AFMC. The AFMC MBBS registration 2020 window will be tentatively open till June third week 2020. 

The AFMC MBBS application form will be released by the autonomous body of Directorate General of Health Services and the credentials of all applicants will be sent to the Pune campus of Armed Forces Medical College. Owing to the high-security issues, the details to be filled out in the AFMC application form 2020 are not published by the authorities online. Aspirants will be able to check the mandatory fields in the form only after downloading the application form. 

Aspiring candidates are suggested to register for the AFMC MBBS admissions as soon as the application window opens in June second week, 2020. The AFMC MBBS application form has to be filled out online and the aspiring candidates will have to pay a nominal application fee for the same. The Directorate General of Health Services, Indian Army, the governing body for AFMC MBBS admissions, will be publishing the merit lists of the qualifying candidates as well. The application window, as well as the payment window, will tentatively be open for one week’s time, and all aspiring candidates are requested to register at the earliest so as to avoid any last-minute confusion. 

AFMC MBBS Registration 2020- Eligibility Criteria

Candidates aspiring to apply for the AFMC MBBS registration 2020 will have to meet certain eligibility criteria as well. The AFMC registration eligibility criteria are listed below.

  • Nationality: Applicants have to be a citizen of India. Five government-sponsored applicants from the Friendly Foreign Countries will be eligible for applying as well. 

  • Age: The lower age limit for the applicants is 17 years and the upper age limit for the applicants is 24 years. All applicants must lie within this age category on 31 December 2020.

  • Marital Status: Applicants are required to have a single marital status when they join the undergraduate course of MBBS at AFMC.

  • Medical Fitness: Applicants have to produce a fitness certificate according to the standards of the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. 

AFMC MBBS Application Form 

Aspirants may go through the following steps to get an idea of the application process for the undergraduate course of MBBS at AFMC.

Step-1: Registration 

Aspiring candidates should keep their NEET 2020 admit cards handy while filling out the AFMC MBBS application form to fill in some details. They will have to register on the official website of the Armed Forces Medical College by providing valid credentials. For the first step of AFMC MBBS registration 2020, aspirants will require their date of birth and NEET roll number. It is suggested that aspirants should note down their credentials so as to manage all the future logins. 

Step-2: Application Form

After successful registration, aspirants will have to log in to their accounts and fill out all the required fields in the AFMC application form 2020. The Directorate General of Health Services withholds the details of the mandatory fields to be filled out in the AFMC MBBS application form due to security requirements. 

Step-3: Application Fee Payment

The next step in the process of AFMC MBBS registration 2020 is the payment of application fee. After filling out all the required fields in the application form, aspirants will be navigated to the payment gateway. For paying the application fee offline, aspirants will need to download the generated challan and make the payment at a mentioned bank outlet, using the same. 

On making a successful payment of the application fee, an e-receipt will be generated. It is advisable for aspirants to take a printout of the e-receipt and note down the reference number on it for future reference.

Step-4: Submission of AFMC MBBS Application Form

After the payment of the application fee, aspirants will be navigated to the submission page and may submit the completely filled out application form. It is suggested that aspirants should recheck all the information that they provide in the application form before submitting the form. Also, they may print the application form for their future reference.

AFMC MBBS Registration 2020- Application Fee

The application fee payable for AFMC MBBS registration 2020 is partly refundable and applicants will have to pay a nominal non-refundable fee as well. The fee payable while submitting the AFMC MBBS application form differs for applicants belonging to various social categories. The refundable application fees for applicants belonging to various categories are listed separately in the below table, for the convenience of applicants.

A part of the application fee payable by the applicants while filling out the AFMC MBBS application form is non-refundable. The non-refundable application fee payable by applicants belonging to the various categories is tabulated below.

After the counselling process of AFMC MBBS admission 2020 will be done with, the applicants who will not be shortlisted for this academic year will get a refund of the refundable fee paid for the application. Also, for the qualifying applicants, the refundable application fee will be adjusted during their admission process.

AFMC MBBS Registration 2020 - Verification of Documents 

The Directorate General of Health Services, Indian Army, will screen all the applications and generate a merit list for the AFMC counselling 2020. The counselling sessions will be conducted at the premises of the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune and qualifying candidates will have to attend their respective counselling slots there. 

The qualifying candidates will be asked to furnish the following documents for the final procedure of AFMC admissions at the college premises. 

  • 10th standard mark sheet

  • 10th standard pass certificate

  • 12th standard mark sheet

  • 12th standard pass certificate

  • Adhaar card

  • A government-issued identification proof, as an age-proof.

  • Parents’ Income proof

  • NEET 2020 admit card

  • NEET 2020 scorecard

  • Migration Certificate from the previous institute

  • Caste certificate, for candidates belonging to the reserved categories

  • National Cadet Corps Certificate, if any

  • Domicile certificate

  • Bonafide Certificate

Aspirants may hereby note that they will have to furnish the original certificates as mentioned above and any discrepancy in any of the documents submitted will cause cancellation of candidature. They may also carry a coloured passport-sized photograph along with the above-mentioned documents. The photograph should be clicked on a white coloured background. 

Aspirants meeting the eligibility criteria will be judged on the basis of their NEET scores and the scores obtained in the screening test of AFMC. The merit list of qualifying candidates is going to be published in June third week, tentatively. In case of any vacancy, after the seat allotment in the first round of counselling, the wait-listed applicants will be called for another round.
