उत्तर:- उना का अर्थ है एक करोड़ से एक कम| एक दंतकथा के अनुसार यहां शिव की एक करोड़ में एक मूर्ति कम है| इस कारण इसका नाम ' उनकोटी' पड़ा|

उत्तर:- उनाकोटी में हजारों मूर्तियां हैं| अभी तक इन मूर्तियों के निर्माता अर्थात बनाने वाले की पहचान नहीं हो पाई है| स्थानीय निवासियों का मानना है कि उनाकोटी की मूर्तियों का निर्माता कल्लू कुमार था| वह माता पार्वती का भक्त था| वह शिव पार्वती के साथ उनके निवास स्थान कैलाश पर्वत पर जाना चाहता था| पार्वती के जो नहाने पर भगवान शिव जी तैयार हो गए,परंतु उन्होंने एक शर्त रखी थी उसे एक रात में शिव की कोटी (एक करोड़) मूर्तियाँ बनानी होंगी| जब सुबह हुई तो मूर्तियाँ एक कोटी से कम निकली|  होना का अर्थ होता है एक करोड़ से एक कम| इस युक्ति से शिव को कल्लू से पीछा छुड़ाने का बहाना मिल गया| कल्लू को अपनी मूर्तियों के साथ उनाकोटी में ही छोड़ दिया और चलते बने| इस प्रकार कल्लू कुम्हार का नाम उनाकोटी से जुड़ गया|

4. 'मेरी रीढ़ में एक झुरझुरी-सी दौड़ '-लेखक के इस कथन के पीछे कौन सी घटना जुड़ी हैं?

उत्तर:- लेखक के इस कथन के पीछे यह घटना जुड़ी है कि लेखक त्रिपुरा में शूटिंग करने में व्यस्त था| उसे सी.आर.पी.एफ के जवान सुरक्षा प्रदान कर रहे थे| इन सुरक्षाकर्मियों ने लेखक का ध्यान निचली पहाड़ियों पर इरादतन रखे दो पत्थरों की तरफ खींचा| 'दो दिन पूर्व सेना का एक जवान यही विद्रोहियों द्वारा मारा गया था' यह बात सुनकर लेखक की भीड़ में एक झुरझुरी- सी दौड़ गई|

उत्तर:- लेखक ने उत्तरी त्रिपुरा जिले के मुख्यालय कैलासशहर के जिलाधिकारी से मुलाकात की| जिलाधिकारी ने आलू की खेती के विषय में लेखक को यह जानकारी दी कि आलू की बुवाई के लिए आमतौर पर पारंपरिक आलू के बीजों की जरूरत दो मीट्रिक टन प्रति हेक्टेयर पड़ती है| इसके बरक्स टी.पी.एस की सिर्फ 100 ग्राम मात्रा ही एक हेक्टेयर की बुआई के लिए काफी होती है| त्रिपुरा की टी.पी.एस का निर्यात अब ना सिर्फ असम, मिजोरम, नागालैंड और अरुणाचल प्रदेश को बल्कि बांग्लादेश मलेशिया और वियतनाम को भी किया जा रहा है|

उत्तर:- त्रिपुरा में आलू की खेती के साथ-साथ बहुत सारे घरेलू उद्योग चलते हैं,जैसे- अगरबत्ती बनाना, बाँस के खिलौने बनाना,गले में पहनने की मालाएँ बनाना, अगरबत्ती के लिए सीकों को तैयार करना| तत्पश्चात इन्हें गुजरात और कर्नाटक भेजा जाता है| अन्य घरेलू उद्योगों में माचिस, साबुन, प्लास्टिक , जूते आदि के घरेलू उद्योग सर्वस्व प्रसिद्ध है|
