Class 12 Economics KBPE Question Paper 2020 - Free PDF Download

The independent department that functions under the Ministry of Secondary Education, Government of Kerala undertakes this Class 12 examination every year. The KBPE well regulates and supervises the system of education.


Class 12 Economics question paper of KBPE is widely accessed to all the students of Kerala. The question paper is devised and is to be followed by the students to prepare for the board’s exams methodically. Question papers help the student to boost their preparation and to gain confidence in the subject matter which will eventually help them to give their exams in a hassle-free mind.

KBPE Class 12 Economics Question Paper 2020

Solving question papers helps the students to prepare better for the exam. Referring to past year papers too does the same, in turn assuring the students to secure deserving marks in their board’s exam. Class 12 question paper is provided for the students as a guide about the exam pattern and how the question paper is set by the board.

Question Paper Pattern

  1. There are a total of 36 questions.

  2. In the 1 mark questions, students need to answer any 10 questions, out of Class 12 questions.

  3. From questions 13 to 18, students need to answer any 5 questions each carrying 2 marks.

  4. From question number 19 to 25, students need to answer any 6 questions, these carry 3 marks each.

  5. Next, there are long answer type questions from 31 to 33, students need to opt 2 questions which consist of 5 marks each.

  6. Very long type questions which carry 8 marks each, from question number 34 to 36, here students need to choose by answering only 2 questions.

How to Attempt the Question Paper

In the instructions itself, the students are given a brief knowledge on how to present and maintain the decor in the exam. Any required calculations, graphs, equations or any other rough work are to be shown in the answer sheet neatly. Malayalam version of the paper can also be referred to.

Students should preferably manage their time in the exam hall, they are advised to allow themselves a specific time for each answer so that they complete the paper efficiently, they can start with the long answers first as they can answer the MCQs in a short time even in the last few mins. They are advised to write the answers chronologically with the correct question numbers as in the question paper. The whole paper must be written neatly. The final advice is that, if time, they can also revise and check their answers for any wrong or misspelt words.

In Economics, present all your answers with logic, this is to be done with data facts, and in long answers, insert graphs and charts as much as possible to explain the answer aptly.
