BIEAP Class 12 Commerce Question Paper 2019

Many ancient philosophers and scholars have known to mix up the terms "trade" and "commerce". However, these two are essentially distinct in meaning:

• Selling and buying of commodities for money or anything which holds value are called Trade. 

• Whereas, commerce covers a much broader field and includes trade, along with the services which facilitate the selling and buying of goods. Insurance, Transporting, warehousing and advertising may include in these services.

History

In Roman commerce, the routes across the Mediterranean and to India are included. 

The introduction of currency as standardized money in historic times facilitated the wider exchange of services and goods. Collections of tokens which Numismatists have included coins from some Ancient-World large-scale societies. Although unmarked lumps of precious metal were involved in initial usage. This means that even if there were no notes or coins, people used precious metals like Gold, Silver etc. They attached a value to it and then used them for exchange in return for commodities.

Commerce

One of the most flourishing fields in today's world is commerce. The knowledge of the business can bring you to the extreme heights.
