कहानी का सारांशः

इस कहानी में बच्चों के मन मे आने वाले भावों को रोचक ढंग से प्रस्तुत किया गया है ।
गर्मी की छुट्टियाँ चल रही थीं । तब दोपहर का समय था |
दिनेश अपने घर में बैठकर कहानी पढ़ रहा था। तभी अचानक उसके घर के पीछे वाले बगीचे में एक वस्तु तेज आवाज के साथ गिरी |
आवाज सुनकर दिनेश जल्दी से बगीचे की ओर भागा।
दिनेश को भागते देख उसकी माँ ने उसे बोला कि बाहर लू चल रही है ।इस समय घर से बाहर नहीं जाना चाहिए ।
लेकिन दिनेश नहीं रूका । जून के इस तपते महीने मे वह बिना चप्पल पहने ही बाहर चला गया ।
जब वह बगीचे में गया तो वहा भिंडियों के ऊँचे-ऊँचे पौधे और सीताफल की घनी बेल फैली हुई थी |
दिनेश ने पूरे बगीचे को अच्छे से देखा लेकिन पर उसे कुछ भी नहीं मिला ।
तभी उसकी नजर घूँस के गड्ढे पर पड़ी । वहा उसे एक नई चमचमाती किरमिच की गेंद दिखाई दी । गेंद बिल्कुल नई थी और उसने गेंद को उठा लिया ।
दिनेश ने आसपास के सभी घरों मे देखा लेकिन सभी के दरवाजे और खिड़कियाँ बंद थी ।
वह नई गेंद के बारे मे सोचता हुआ अपने दोस्त सुधीर, अनिल, अरविन्द, आनन्द, दीपक का नाम मन में दोहराता है।
दिनेश को लगता है कि हो सकता है यह गेंद बाहर से आई हो ।
इसके बाद माँ की आवाज़ आने पर दिनेश गेंद लेकर अंदर आ जाता है और ठंडे फर्श पर बिछी चटाई पर लेटकर वह सोचता है कि मुझे एक बार सभी से पूछ लेना चाहिए ।
गर्मी की छुट्टियो मे बच्चे बल्ले और गेंद आपस में मिलकर खरीद लिया करते थे |
शाम को दिनेश ने सभी बच्चों से गेंद के बारे मे पूछा |
इस पर अनिल अपनी चार महीने पहले खो चुकी अपनी गेंद के बारे मे कहता है।
दिनेश समझ गया कि गेंद अनिल की नहीं है |
इसके बाद सुधीर ने कहा कि यह गेंद मेरी है। लेकिन वह प्रमाण बताने में असफल रहा |
इसके बाद दीपक आया जो सभी मित्रो मे सबसे चालाक था | वह बोला गेंद मेरी है |
दिनेश जानता था कि गेंद तीनों में से किसी की भी नहीं है । वह बोला मैं गेंद लाता हूँ लेकिन जब तक पक्का सबूत नहीं मिलेगा, मैं किसी को दूंगा नहीं ।
दीपक गेंद को देखकर बोला लाल रंग के निशान वाली यह मेरी गेंद है ।
दिनेश बोला हम झगड़ा न करके क्रिकेट खेल लेते हैं l
इसके बाद खेल आरंभ हुआ और दिनेश बल्लेबाजी करने लगा।
दो-चार बार खेलने के बाद गेंद जोर से उछलकर सड़क से जा रही एक स्कूटर की टोकरी में जा गिरी |
स्कूटर वाला आगे चला ही जा रहा था। बच्चे भी स्कूटर के पीछे पीछे भागने लगे I
अब स्कूटर बहुत दूर जा चुका था । बच्चों ने भागना बंद कर दिया और एक दूसरे को देख कर सभी आपस में हँसने लगे ।

इस कहानी से हमें यह शिक्षा मिलती है हमें आपस में झगड़ना नहीं चाहिए और मिलजुलकर रहना चाहिए।
