The IOQJS exam pattern has been released by the authorities of IAPT for this year. The Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Junior Science, or IOQJS, consists of two papers. The duration of the exam is 3 hours. The Indian Association of Physics Teachers in collaboration with the Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education conducts the Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Junior Science for the secondary school students. The paper format, types of questions asked, marking scheme, and other details of the IOQJS exam pattern are discussed below for the perusal of students.
IOQJS is the first level of the International Science Olympiad program. It is conducted as a combination of the National Standard Examination and the Indian National Olympiad. Previously, the selection process for the International Science Olympiad program was conducted in three stages. However, considering the prevailing pandemic situation, its pattern has been revised. As per the new pattern, there will be two stages in the selection process for the Olympiad program, IOQJS and Orientation-cum-Selection Camp, respectively.
Important Features of IOQJS Exam Pattern
IOQJS is conducted in an offline mode, and the exam duration is 3 hours. There are two parts of the exam, IOQ Part I and IOQ Part II. Only objective questions will be asked in the first part and subjective questions will be asked in the next part.
