MP NEET UG 2023 Counselling Information and Process

NEET UG 2023 is right at the corner. Medical aspirants have already done their preparations and are waiting for the day to show their talent. Once the exam is done, the state authority will conduct the MP medical counselling process state-wide. Students will have to register and apply for counselling with their choice of medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh.


This counselling process will be based on the merit list of the medical aspirants taking the entrance exam and their chosen colleges. The list of participating medical colleges is displayed on the official website of the regulatory authority for reference. The authority will conduct four NEET UG Counselling rounds to fill the vacant seats. Each counselling round will have a separate merit list.

MP NEET UG 2023 Counselling: An introduction

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the NEET exam across the country. It specifies the exam centres, and the students must follow the provided list at their convenience.


The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), on the other hand, is the regulatory authority that conducts the counselling process. It is a state government body that decides and releases the counselling dates. As mentioned earlier, it will conduct four rounds of counselling to fill all the vacant seats in the participating medical colleges. These rounds are:

  • Mop-up round

  • Stray round


Candidates will have to register in the official portal of DME as an application for the NEET UG counselling after the completion of the exam. Registration

A candidate must register in the online DME portal as an application. They will have to input their personal, communication information and academic information for convenience. Choice Filling

After registration, input the choice of medical colleges in the state where you want to seek admission. You will find the name of the enlisted colleges mentioned in the choice filling sections. Simply, choose the options and follow the guidelines on the same page.


Candidates will also get the option to change the order of their college preferences and set the right format. It will be shown in the preference box. You can review the preferred colleges you have chosen in the review section. Make sure you lock the choices, or the counselling authority will not consider it, and your application will become invalid.

The regulatory body will conduct the counselling in four stages. MP NEET UG Counselling date will be released after the NEET exam is over. The counselling will be conducted as per merit, reservation, available seats, and other factors.

College Reporting
