The medical admission 2020 Maharashtra is done for both the MBBS and BDS courses. The admission for both the courses is done thoroughly on the basis of NEET exam. The NEET (National Eligibility cum entrance test) is a national level common entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency(NTA). Students need to take up this exam in order to get a seat to pursue medical science in any college in the state along with other renowned medical institutions like JIPMER and AIIMS. Therefore NEET scores are a very important factor for all the students hoping to pursue a career in medical science.
The state of Maharashtra conducts no specific exclusive entrance exam for admission in the field of medicine. All the admission is conducted based on the score obtained in the national level NEET examination. The NEET-UG is conducted every year for all the students throughout the country. Based on the score obtained, students can apply to any medical college throughout the country and obtain a seat through the counselling process. Once the qualifying exam is done, students can take part in 15% AIQ along with 85% state quota seats in their respective states.
Students are advised to first and foremost check the eligibility criteria for medical admission 2020. If any student at any point is found to not having full-filled any of the requirements, their candidature is bound to be cancelled immediately.
The following are the eligibility criteria necessary for Maharashtra MBBS admission 2020.
The aspirant must compulsorily be the permanent resident of the state of Maharashtra.
The aspirant must have passed the SSC (10th ) or equivalent examination from a school or junior college situated in the state of Maharashtra.
OR - the aspirant must have passed the qualifying examination i.e. Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC/12th Standard) or equivalent examination, from a school or junior college from the state of Maharashtra.
OR - they must be the children of the employees of Maharashtra state government or on deputation or on transfer.
The minimum age limit is 17 years to 25 years of age.
Must obtain the minimum necessary NEET cutoff as set by the board.
While passing class 12 or the junior college, the students must have PCB as their subjects along with English.
NOTE: it is important to remember that students should be born before 31 December 2001 to be eligible for all the Ayurved, Homeopathy, and Unani courses.
