About AIIMS 2018 Question Paper with Solutions (Morning Shift) - 26th May 2018

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) conducted the most prestigious medical entrance exam for students on 26th May 2018. The medical entrance exam was conducted in two shifts, the morning shift from 9 am to 12:30 pm and an afternoon shift from 2 pm to 5 pm. As per students' feedback, the AIIMS medical entrance paper was average. 

The medical entrance exam of AIIMS contains 60 questions each from Biology, Physics and Chemistry. There were also 20 questions from general knowledge. Therefore, the AIIMS entrance exam consists of a total of 200 questions. Each question in the question paper carries 1 mark each for the correct answer and one-third of marks are deducted for each wrong answer given by the student. 


Syllabus Covered in AIIMS 2018 Question Paper 

General Knowledge: This section of the 2018 question paper of AIIMS contained questions from topics like current affairs, logical reasoning and riddles. 

Physics: The Physics part of the AIIMS 2018 question paper of the morning shift was a little difficult for the students. The questions were logical based and therefore, this part of the question paper was more time-consuming than the rest of the sections.

Chemistry: The section of the Chemistry of AIIMS 2018 question paper was of average level and not very difficult for the students to attempt. The language of certain questions was a little difficult for some questions and needed a proper reading for the students. The paper was mostly based on the NCERT course.

Biology: The Biology paper of the AIIMS 2018 question paper was easier as compared to the rest of the sections of the question paper. The whole biology section of the AIIMS question paper was based on the NCERT syllabus. Diagram based questions were also asked in the question paper and there was an equal number of questions from both botany and zoology.

1. What type of questions appear in the morning shift of the AIIMS 2018 Question Paper?

The morning shift of AIIMS 2018 was held on 26th May 2018. The Question Paper of the AIIMS 2018 morning shift contained a total of 200 questions. 60 questions were asked from each subject, that is, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Apart from this, 20 questions were asked from general knowledge and aptitude. The 60 questions from each subject, that is, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology included 40 multiple choice questions, that is, objective questions and 20 assertion and reasoning questions based on the concepts of the specified subject. 

2. How is the marks distribution done for the AIIMS 2018 Question Paper of the morning shift?

AIIMS 2018 Question Paper was a total of 200 marks. The question paper comprises four sections, that is, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and General Knowledge. Each question in the question paper comprises 1 mark each and for each wrong answer one-third of the marks are deducted from the student's total score. Therefore, each section, that is, physics, chemistry, and biology comprise a total of 60 marks for each subject and the general knowledge section of the paper comprises a total of 20 marks.  

3. When will AIIMS declare the results for 26th May 2018 Morning shift Questions?

All India Institute of Medical Sciences started the online registration for the 2018 examination on 5th February 2018 and the last date for online registration was 5th March 2018. The choice of application correction was given to the students from 8th to 12th March 2018. The admit card for the exam held on 26th and 27th May 2018 was released on 10th May 2018. The answer key was released by AIIMS on 28th May 2018 and the results will be announced on 18th June 2018. The counselling process will start on 23rd June 2018.

4. How can I check the AIIMS morning shift question paper of the 2018 result?

The students can check the AIIMS 2018 morning shift result on the official website of AIIMS. The AIIMS 2018 result will be declared on 18th June 2018. The students can check the result by logging into the official website of AIIMS. For logging in, the students will have to enter certain details like candidate ID, password, and security key to check the results. AIIMS will prepare a merit list of the students as per the marks obtained by them in the examination. A separate rank list for each category will also be prepared by AIIMS.

5. What are the minimum cut-off marks required for students to qualify AIIMS 2018 morning shift question paper?

Cut-off marks are the minimum marks that are required for each student to score in the AIIMS medical entrance exam. The cut-off for the students from the general category is 50% while the students belonging to the OBC category is 45% and for the scheduled castes and tribes is 40% for the students to qualify for the medical entrance exam of AIIMS. There are a total of 400 seats for the unreserved category at different institutions of AIIMS. The seats reserved for OBC is 215 and for that of scheduled castes and tribes are 121 and 64.
