National Institute of Technology (NIT)

JEE Main is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission into various undergraduate programs such as Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) and Architecture (B.Arch/B.Planning) at Indian Institute Technology, National Institute of Technology, Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Centrally funded Technical Institutions (CFTI). 

 

The National Institute of Technology (NITs) are autonomous universities, and they are one of the most sought-after public institutes for higher education. They are under the control of the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007, which declares them as institutions of national importance along with the IITs. In India, there are a total of 31 NITs, and each one of them is funded by the Government of India. NIT institutes are among the top-ranked technical institutes for Engineering and are second to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) in India. 

 

National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are public universities that are under the jurisdiction of the Government of India. These are some of the top engineering colleges in India and have the lowest admission acceptance rates of around 1 to 2 percent. In 2020, NIT was honoured with the 24th rank by the National Institutional Ranking Framework in the top 200 engineering category.

National Institute of Technology Agartala (NIT Agartala) is one of the most popular technical institutions in India.
