Jharkhand Polytechnic 2020 is also known as Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) manages the Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination (PECE). The aim of this examination is to offers admission in various engineering, and non-engineering courses offered colleges of Jharkhand.   • In case, the tie is not resolved, candidates carrying higher marks in Physics is given preference.

  • If the tie is not broken, then the candidate with older age is allotted higher rank.

Students appearing for the entrance exam should be aware that they have to score more marks than the cut-off to seek admission for the particular course.

Different colleges release different cut off list depending on the course and the category. The board will release the Combined Merit List rank for both PCB and PCM group. If you belong to the PCB group, then you will get admission in B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry, B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.F.Sc (Fisheries Science) courses.

Similarly, if you belong to the PCM group, then you will get admission in B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture & B.Sc (Hons.) Forestry courses.

1. What is the eligibility criteria to appear for Jharkhand Polytechnic 2020 exam?

Before you appear for the Jharkhand Polytechnic exam or Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Exam (PECE), you should be well prepared with the eligibility criteria. Below are a few things you should know-

  • There is no specific age bar to apply for the exam if seeking admission for other engineering courses. However, the minimum age limit considered is 17yrs as of 1st July 2020 for mining engineering. 

  • The respective student must pass the 10th and equivalent exam from any of the recognized board. You also need to obtain 35% marks in the qualifying exam.
