All you need to know about MP MBBS Merit List 2020

Madhya Pradesh is one of the participating states in the counselling of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2020. The NEET MP Merit list will be published by the Directorate of Medical Education of the state in June third week, 2020. Candidates qualifying the NEET cut-off score may apply for the MBBS and BDS counselling process in Madhya Pradesh. The qualifying candidates will be able to find their names, state merit ranks, and roll numbers on the NEET MP 2020 MBBS Merit List.  


There are a total of 1750 seats available for the undergraduate course of MBBS and 1164 seats available for the undergraduate course of BDS in the state colleges of Madhya Pradesh. The MP 2020 MBBS Merit List will contain the names of candidates eligible for the 85% state quota seat allotment. Also, the MP MBBS Merit List 2020 will be available in the format of a PDF, and aspirants will be able to download it from the official website. The rest 15% of the MBBS and BDS seats in the state colleges of Madhya Pradesh will be allotted to the NEET qualifying candidates under the All India Quota.


Overview of the NEET MP Merit list

Only those aspirants who will qualify the NEET cut-off scores will be eligible to register for the Madhya Pradesh state counselling for medical and dental undergraduate courses. They can apply for the state counselling of Madhya Pradesh after the NEET results are published. The NEET MP 2020 MBBS Merit List will be generated by the Directorate of Medical Education of the state and it will be published online in July first week 2020, tentatively.


Among the applicants, the one with the highest NEET score will secure the opening merit rank in the MP MBBS List 2020. The closing scores for the government medical colleges are usually higher as compared to that of the private medical colleges of Madhya Pradesh. Therefore, applicants with higher NEET scores are more likely to secure seats in government medical colleges. The qualifying candidates in the NEET MP 2020 MBBS Merit List will be notified to attend the counselling sessions during their respective slots. Also, the qualifying candidates are suggested to take along a printout of the NEET MP Merit list for their reference.

Cut-off trends of NEET MP Merit list 

The cut-off percentile and scores for MP 2020 MBBS Merit List will be determined only after the results of NEET 2020. The merit ranks will be assigned to the applicants based on the following factors.

  • The total number of NEET qualifying candidates applying for the state counselling of Madhya Pradesh.

  • The highest NEET score and corresponding NEET percentile of the applicants.

  • The total number of seats available for the courses of MBBS and BDS in the state medical and dental colleges of Madhya Pradesh.

  • The NEET cut-off score and percentile for this year.


The candidates aspiring to apply for the undergraduate courses of MBBS and BDS in the medical and dental colleges of Madhya Pradesh are suggested to refer to the previous years’ cut-off score and percentile trends for the various categories.

The score trends for this year are likely to change so candidates must not refer to the above-tabulated data as any standard cut-offs. The MP 2020 MBBS Merit List may have different cut-off scores and percentiles depending upon the NEET 2020 score trends.
