HP NEET Application Form 2020

The HP NEET Application Form 2020 will be published by the Himachal Pradesh University of Shimla, in an online mode, after the NEET exam. Candidates who aspire to pursue MBBS and BDS undergraduate courses in the medical colleges of Himachal Pradesh will have to clear the cut-off scores of NEET 2020. There is a total of 870 seats for the course of MBBS and a total of 191 seats for the course of BDS, in Himachal Pradesh. 

Candidates are suggested to submit the HP NEET Application Form 2020 within the final deadline, so as to avoid any issues in their candidature. Initially, the application form was supposed to be published in June end but there may be some delay due to the CoronaVirus pandemic. HP NEET Application Form 2020- Overview

The Himachal Pradesh University of Shimla is the authority responsible for the counselling of 85% state quota seats of Himachal Pradesh. The counselling sessions for the rest of the All India Quota seats will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee of India.

Candidates are suggested to keep the scanned copies of their NEET admit cards, passport size photograph, and signature ready while filling this application form.

HP MBBS Eligibility Criteria 2020

The state counselling authorities of Himachal Pradesh University has set certain eligibility criteria that are to be met by aspiring candidates so as to be eligible for filling the HP NEET Application Form 2020. The eligibility criteria are based on the grounds of nationality, age, domicile and academic requirements. The HP MBBS Eligibility Criteria 2020 are enlisted below for the reference of aspirants and candidates are suggested to refer to it before filling the application form.

  • Age: The lower age limit for candidates applying for medical colleges of Himachal Pradesh, is 17 years and the upper age limit is 25 years. For candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and OBC categories, the upper age limit is 30 years.

  • Nationality: Aspiring candidates must be a citizen of India.

  • Domicile Requirements: Candidates seeking admission to the MBBS and BDS seats of Himachal Pradesh should be a bonafide resident of the state. Residents of other states are eligible for the management quota seats of MBBS and BDS undergraduate courses in the colleges of Himachal Pradesh. 

  • Academic Requirements: Candidates must have pursued Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subjects in their 10+2 level of schooling. They must have taken English as another mandatory subject at 10+2 level as well. Candidates having completed schooling from the National Institute of Open Schooling are also eligible to apply for the application.

How to Fill the HP NEET Application Form 2020?

The HP NEET Application Form 2020 can be filled in five simple steps: registration, filling in of details, payment of application fee, and submission of the application form. Aspiring candidates who meet the eligibility criteria as set by the Himachal Pradesh University may go through the below steps for a hassle-free submission of their application forms.

Step-1: Applicants have to visit the official website of HPU and click on the ‘registration’ link there to begin with their application. Before starting to fill in the required details, candidates must select ‘Undergraduate’ and their desired course before filling in the other details. After selecting the course, candidates will have to click on the ‘Proceed’ button. The personal details of candidates such as their parents’ names, permanent address, gender, aadhar card number, mobile number, nationality, gender, etc, are to be filled in this step. A unique verification id and the passwords will be sent to the candidates’ email id and contact number, so it is suggested that students must provide a valid email address and mobile number. 

Step-2: On successful registration, candidates will be able to log into their accounts and fill in the other details in the HP NEET Application Form 2020. The other details to be filled in the application form include the following.

  • 10th board exam mark sheet

  • 12th board exam mark sheet

  • NEET 2020 roll number

  • NEET 2020 score and All India Merit rank

  • Bonafide details.

Candidates are suggested to take a print out of the transaction slip for further requirements. Also, they must go through all the information filled in by them, in the HP NEET Application Form 2020 before submitting the application form.
