  • All the questions will be objective type only.

  • Questions will be asked from 12th Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

  • The time allotted for the paper will be 2 hrs and 30 minutes.

  • Question paper will be in English only.

  • One mark will be rewarded for a correct response and no negative marking provision for an incorrect response.


TNEA Application Form 2023

TNEA application form 2023 can be filled in three different following modes:

  • In-Person: Those who are filling an offline application, can acquire the TNEA 2023 form from any of the 60 centers. The candidates belonging to the General category need to make a payment of Rs.500, and the candidates who belong to SC, SCA, and ST categories need to pay an amount of Rs. 250. They also have to give proof of belonging to Tamil Nadu by producing the photocopy of the Permanent community card/ digitally signed e-Certificate or an electronic form. Candidates can pay for the application fee via DD or can opt for a cash in hand mode.

  • Via Post: If an aspirant wants to send an application via post, he/ she needs to send the DD of 700 at the suggested address (those who belong to the General category) and Rs 450/- for those who belong to SC, SCA, and ST categories by posting the photocopy of the Permanent community card or digitally signed e-Certificate or else the electronic form and an address label in the capital letter along with the application form.

  • Via Official Website: The students who wish to apply for the TNEA 2023 exam through the internet; they will get the step-by-step procedure for filling the form on the official website.

FAQs on TNEA Syllabus 2023-24

1. What is the Expected Cut-off for the TNEA 2023?

Below is the listed category-wise cut-off for the TNEA 2023:

  • Unreserved category - 50%

  • Backward or Muslims - 45%

  • MBC and DNC - 40%

  • SC or ST or SCA - 35%

  • Students who get merit rank in the TNEA 2023 exam will be given the first preference in the TNEA counseling 2023.

2. Who Can Apply for the TNEA 2023?

  • Candidates must have passed 12th and he/she should be a native resident of Tamil Nadu,  holding a Domicile certificate. 

Candidates whose parents are central government employees and serving in Tamil Nadu from the past five years, can also apply in TNEA 2023, provided that candidates must attach the proof of their parent’s working tenure.
