JEECUP Exam Pattern 2022, Subject-Wise Weightage and Syllabus

As an important state-level examination for admission to engineering, pharmacy, technology, and other diploma programs, the JEECUP plays an important role in higher education. It is administered by the Joint Entrance Council of Uttar Pradesh. Students who appear for this exam are typically accepted to Polytechnic and ITI institutions around the state.

JEECUP 2022 will be conducted in offline mode for some selected courses, while it will be online for others. The JEECUP 2022 exam pattern will vary for different courses. Its syllabus also varies according to the course a student has applied for, with different weightage for different subjects. Since the JEECUP has negative marking, it is important for students to know the marking scheme as well.

JEECUP 2022 Exam Pattern

JEECUP 2022 will be conducted from 6th June to 12th June 2022 for Group A to Group K. Each group will have a different paper. However, the papers set for all the groups have some basic similarities as mentioned in the table below.

In JEECUP 2022 exam, each paper is graded the same way, with a correct answer receiving +4 marks and an incorrect answer getting -1 mark. Unattempted questions do not result in a deduction of marks while selecting multiple options for any question is considered a wrong answer.

Usually, the paper is primarily designed to test the knowledge aptitude of the candidate in math, physics, chemistry, botany, biology, zoology, fashion design, etc., depending on what course they have applied to. Each program weighs the topics differently depending on which course the candidate is applying for. For example, reasoning, analytical skills, and the English language may be weighed differently.

Candidates should be familiar with all the details about the JEECUP test pattern. When a candidate realizes what questions can be expected and what the difficulty level is, he or she can form a strategy and prepare accordingly, which may help them perform very well in the exam.
