Introduction to The Stars and The Sky Story

Once upon a time, and all times together as ever I heard of, there was a tiny lassie who would weep all day for the opportunity to play with the stars in the sky; she wouldn't have this, she wouldn't have that, but she would always have the stars. So she set out one wonderful day to find them.

The Stars and The Sky

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Lassie who desired to touch the stars in the sky. She would gaze out her window at the stars every night. She decided to sneak away one night and wish to go stargazing.

She walked for miles and miles as she wandered aimlessly. She kept walking till she came across a tiny property with a pond. The small girl inquired of the farmer as to the location of the stars.

"The stars are there in front of us." Every night, they sparkle on my pond," the farmer explained. So the girl dove into the pond and swam and swam, but she was unable to catch a single star. She emerged from the water enraged at the farmer. "However, I don't see any stars," she grumbled bitterly.

The farmer explained, "That's because you stirred the water." However, the girl was dissatisfied and moved on. She continued walking until she came to a creek. The small girl was waved to by the brooklet who was working there. "Are there any celebrities here with whom I could play?" Lassie asked him.

He replied, "Of course there are." "All night long, the stars gleam and shine on my bank, till I can't sleep from all their light," the brook explained. "Perhaps if you keep paddling, you'll find one."

So Lassie paddled and paddled till her arms were exhausted, but she couldn't find a single star. Lassie decided to continue on till she reached a large field full of little fairies.

"Hello fairies," Lassie asked, "could you please assist me in locating the stars so that I may play with them?"

"Of course, we'll find the stars as they glimmer over the grass," the fairies laughed, and Lassie danced and danced with them, but she didn't find a single star.

As Lassie was about to go, the fairies suggested, "Go on until you reach the edge of the land and ask four feet to take you to no feet, and no feet will take you to the staircase without steps, and then you can reach the stars." As a result, Lassie traveled and walked until she came across a horse standing beside a tree.

Lassie asked, "Hey, there four feet, can you take me to the stars?" Four feet shook his head. He neighed, "I cannot do so until I receive the fairies' will."

"It was the fairies who sent me and told me to ask four feet to take you to no feet and no feet to the staircase without steps, and then you can reach the stars," Lassie said.

"In that case, get on," four feet said, and they sped off towards the horizon, galloping and galloping until they reached the sea. Four feet dropped her off and walked away. Lassie spotted a large fish swimming in the sea and assumed it had no feet.

Lassie asked, "Hey, there's no feet, can you carry me to the stars?" No feet shook his head.

The fish gurgled, "I can't take you anyplace until the fairies ask me to."

"It was the fairies who sent me and told me to ask four feet to take you to no feet and no feet to the staircase without steps, and then you can reach the stars," Lassie said.

So, with no feet, Lassie climbed onto his back, and they swam and swam until they reached a lovely light-filled road that led into the sky.

She wondered aloud, "Will this bring me to the stars?"

"I have no idea, and it's none of my business, but if it's not the stars, it'll take you somewhere." Before swimming away, he said, "No feet."

As a result, Lassie climbed and climbed onto the walkway until she got exhausted and dropped off.

Her skull slammed into something as she fell and fell.

And that's when Lassie noticed she was screaming and crying in her bed.

"Did I actually touch the stars, or was it only a dream?" she wondered.

She felt something in her hand after that. A tiny light flashed in her palm as she opened her hand, then vanished, and she grinned because she knew it was a speck of stardust.
