A Short Story from the Collection of Stories of Victory in the Bible

This amazing story about the mosquito’s victory and defeat is one of the most interesting and fun stories of victory in the Bible. The story is about a mosquito that always disturbs and annoys others in the jungle. But one day his actions bear fruit and he suffers the consequences for disturbing others. Are you interested in knowing what happens? You have to read the story till the very end to know that.

The Story of the Mosquito and the Lion

Once there was a mosquito that lived in a forest far away. The mosquito was not afraid of anyone. He would buzz around the forest and annoy the other animals by buzzing around them and biting them when they were not watching. The animals were very disturbed by the mosquito but no one could ever catch it. Since the mosquito always wanted to disturb the others, no one liked him very much and so he had no friends as well. But that didn’t bother him and he went on with his activities.

The Mosquito Disturbs the Lion

One day, as the mosquito was flying around, he saw the lion, the mighty king of the jungle. The lion was trying to sleep and so the mosquito had a very naughty idea. He flew off towards the lion and started buzzing near him again and again. The lion was already very disturbed and hence he started growling at the mosquito.

The lion said angrily, “Stay away from me, you dirty insect. I will kill you. Go bother someone else with your antics.” But the mosquito didn’t listen to the lion and kept buzzing near him again. Very soon the lion was tired of the mosquito and started swatting him with his paws. But the mosquito was too fast and flew away each time.

The mosquito then flew right at the nose of the lion and bit him there. The lion struck the mosquito but he got away and the lion hurt himself. The mosquito then started biting the lion all over. Wanting to kill the fly, the lion ended up hitting and hurting himself many times. Pretty soon he got very hurt and gave up.

The Mosquito Boasts about His Victory

Seeing that the lion had given up, the mosquito laughed. He said, “Mighty lion, you are the king of the jungle but I am not afraid of you. See how I have defeated you. I shall tell everyone about this victory of mine.” So, the mosquito did as he had said and gathered each and every single animal in the forest. He started recounting his tale about the victory that he got over the lion.

The Mosquito Is Trapped

There was a spider web near the place where the mosquito was flying. The mosquito wanted to show off his higher strength and started flying higher. While showing off about his victory, the mosquito didn’t realise that he was flying higher and higher into the spider’s web. Alas, the mosquito got stuck inside the spider’s web and couldn’t get out. Finally, the mosquito that managed to defeat the lion was defeated by a small spider.
