- The Government also provides schools, universities for educational purposes and other educational facilities such as books, libraries etc.
- Transport is an important factor in the development of one country. Transportation facilities like airways, railways, waterways become affordable only if they are provided collectively. Connectivity among different regions of the country promotes free movement of people as per their needs.
- The government provides a Public Distribution System such as ration shops to provide basic food items like wheat, pulses, rice, sugar and more at very low prices.

The government of a country is empowered to collect taxes from its people and uses them for the development of the country or a state.
