The Olympiad is an important exam for class 10th school students. It takes them beyond the limitations of school exams and gives them exposure to a wider range of competition.  Since the Olympiad is held at the national and international levels, the students are exposed to challenging questions.

NSO 

The National Science Olympiad (NSO) is a program for schools interested in an exciting and challenging way to promote student interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).


The NSO brings the challenge of competition and the thrill of victory to students from all backgrounds. It provides them with opportunities to apply classroom learning directly to real-world challenges, develop creative thinking and problem-solving skills, and work and build their confidence as they tackle new challenges.


IMO

The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is a competition for secondary school students intending to study mathematics at university. The first IMO was held in Romania in 1994, with participation from 40 nations. The objectives of the IMO are to stimulate interest among secondary school students in mathematics and its application and to identify students who can pursue advanced mathematics studies at the university level.


PRMO

PRMO or the Pre-Regional Mathematical Olympiad, is coordinated by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE). This competition is the first step to the Indian Mathematical Olympiad and must be cleared for selection for the Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO).


Students from classes 8-12 are eligible to participate in the Pre-Regional Mathematical Olympiad organised by the National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM).


RMO

The Regional Mathematical Olympiad organised by the National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM) is the second step to the Indian Mathematical Olympiad. The PRMO or the Pre-Regional Mathematical Olympiad must be cleared by the students to be eligible for appearing in the Regional Mathematical Olympiad.


As the PRMO, RMO is coordinated by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE). 


NSTSE

The NSTSE, or National Level Science Talent Search Examination, is organised by the Unified Council Of India. It helps students improve their learning capacity and academic performance by identifying how well they understand concepts. It is different from other tests in that it identifies how well a student comprehends ideas and provides comprehensive recommendations to assist him or her improve. As a result, each student is able to recognise whether he or she has fully grasped a concept early on and makes necessary adjustments to strengthen his or her knowledge.


IEO

The International English Olympiad is organised by the Science Olympiad Foundation. It is conducted for students who wish to test their knowledge and proficiency in English. It is held throughout the year with different levels of competition - local, national and international.


Students from any stage of their academic life can participate in it, be it primary school, middle school, high school or university. The students are usually required to create items related to language and exhibit them.


IGKO

The International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO) is conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation. It is a single-level exam that tests the students’ knowledge of current affairs and general knowledge. This exam encourages students to get acquainted with subjects outside their school books. The results are declared at the school, city, zonal and world levels.


NCO

The National Cyber Olympiad is a cyber competition conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation. It is held annually and is open to participants of all ages. The purpose of NCO is to boost the students' curiosity and appreciation of Computer Science and IT.  The Department of Computer Science, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur organises the cyber games for this competition.


ICO

The International Commerce Olympiad is a competition conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation. This competition is in partnership with The Institute of Company Secretaries of India. Since this competition is related to an advanced academic subject, it is open to only students of classes 11 and 12.


The International Commerce Olympiad aims to encourage students to develop and display their knowledge and skills in the subject of Commerce.


IOQM

The Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics is a national-level mathematics examination. The exam is jointly organised by The Mathematics Teachers Association of India (MTAI), the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT), and the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE). It is a 5 stage exam open to students of classes 8-12.
