• Another important point is that the candidates must be a domicile of Tamil Nadu. The domicile candidates who have completed their Class 6 to Class 12 in the state of Tamil Nadu need to submit their nativity certificate. However, they need to produce their parent’s certificate such as the Birth Certificate, Ration Card, SSLC/10/12 degree certificate. In case the parents are not graduates, then a No Graduation Certificate from the revenue authority must be obtained and furnished.   

• Students who belong to other states but are living in Tamil Nadu will not be considered domicile. Instead, they will be granted seats under the open category. 

• Along with them, the students who do not belong to the state of Tamil Nadu but have studied there, from Class 6 to Class 12 in the state, can claim a seat under the open category. 

• Students who belong to the state of Tamil Nadu but have studied partially or completely outside the state of Tamil Nadu need to provide original copies of their parent’s certificates as mentioned above or No Graduation Certificate from the revenue authority.

• For students to be considered for the NEET State Wise Merit list, they must have obtained the necessary NEET cutoff as specified by the National Testing Agency (NTA)
