Overview of Rajasthan NEET Counselling 2023

The Office of the Chairman, NEET UG Medical admission and Dental Admission which is from the Counselling Board and Principal and Controller, SMS Medical College and Hospital, Jaipur will commence the Rajasthan state counselling for NEET UG 2023 by the September or October 2023 (tentative), although the final dates are yet to be announced. The candidates shortlisted as per the merit list will be eligible to participate in the counselling round.

The counselling board will conduct three rounds of the counselling process which includes the mop-up round to shortlist the students for admission into the universities. The counselling will include choice-filling, document verification, registration and seat allotment. The candidates will be allotted seats based on their rank secured in the NEET entrance exam, availability of seats and reservation criteria. Rajasthan MBBS Counselling Step-wise Procedure 2023

The candidates securing qualifying rank in NEET entrance test will be eligible to participate in the counselling round. The officials will conduct three rounds of counselling. All candidates must register for the counselling process via online mode Find below the steps to participate in Rajasthan MBBS 2023 counselling -


1st Step: Registration

The applicants have to provide their personal, academic and contact details to register for the counselling process. Pay the requisite fees via online payment mode to complete the registration process.


2nd Step: Merit List

The officials will release the merit list which consists of the names of shortlisted students along with their rank obtained and examination roll number.


3rd Step: Document Verification

As per the merit list, all shortlisted candidates are required to report at the allotted institute with all specified documents for verification.


4th Step: Choice-Filling and Locking

Post the verification of documents, the aspirants are required to provide the preference for the institute via online choice-filling. The candidates need to lock the preference to submit the choices for seat allotment.


5th Step: Seat Allotment

The officials will allot the seat to the candidates based on their preference, availability of seats, marks secured in the entrance exam and reservation criteria. The aspirants need to pay the requisite fees to confirm the seat in the university. The aspirants will receive the seat allotment letter via online mode. In case the candidate does not receive the seat of his/her choice, they can participate in the further rounds of seat allotment.


6th Step: Reporting at the College

The candidates who have been allotted seats are required to report to the institute on the specified date and time to confirm their admission to the university.


Rajasthan NEET Counselling 2023: Eligibility Criteria

The following are the various criteria that qualified candidates must meet in order to appear for NEET Rajasthan Counselling 2023.

  • The candidate should be a citizen of India and a domicile of Rajasthan

  • They should have qualified for the NEET 2023 examination without the required marks.

  • Candidates should have attained 17 years of age until 31 December 2022.

  • The student should have completed their 10+2 studies from a recognised board with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

  • All general category candidates must have achieved at least 50% marks to appear for counselling. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories require 40% marks and PwD candidates should have scored 45% marks.

Documents Required for Rajasthan MBBS Counselling 2023

The selected candidates will be required to carry the below-mentioned documents for verification:

  1. NEET admit card 

  2. NEET scorecard

  3. Domicile certificate

  4. Copy of photo ID

  5. Class 12th mark sheet

  6. Class 10th mark sheet or any equivalent certificate showing D.O.B

  7. Caste certificate, sub-category certificate, if applicable

  8. Bond as per the applicable Proforma

  9. Seat Allotment letter

  10. 4 passport size photograph

Note – In case the candidates fail to bring the documents for verification, the admission of such aspirants will stand cancelled.


Rajasthan MBBS Counselling 2023 - Bond Proforma

The aspirants will need to fill and submit a bond proforma at the time of reporting at the allotted institute. The candidates allotted seats in a Government Medical College will have to submit a bond of Rs. 5.0 lakhs (Rupees five lakhs) and sign a commitment to serve the State Government for 2 years of the designated period.


If the candidate will leave the course after the second round of counselling due to any reason, the bond of Rs. 5.0 lakhs (Rupees five lakhs) will be seized by authorities from such applicants.

1. When will the Rajasthan NEET Counselling 2022 commence?

Although no definite date has been announced by the Office of the Chairman, NEET UG Medical and Dental Admission/Counselling Board and Principal & Controller, SMS Medical College, and Hospital, Jaipur, it is expected that the procedure will initiate in the month of September or early October 2022 (tentatively).

2. Will the Rajasthan NEET Counselling 2022 be conducted online?

Yes, the counselling for Rajasthan UG NEET 2022 admissions to MBBS and BDS courses will be conducted online for the first 2 rounds. A third mop-up round is most likely to be conducted offline for all remaining seats, if any.

3. What is the registration fee for Rajasthan NEET Counselling 2022?

Candidates who will be appearing for counselling of MBBS and BDS courses in the Rajasthan NEET 2022 counselling process are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 2,000 (general category). An amount of  Rs 1,200 will have to be deposited by those belonging to SC/ST category.

4. How many seats will be reserved in 2022 for the Rajasthan State Quota of NEET?

As per the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), 85% of the total seats will be offered for the Rajasthan State candidates. Hence, it is expected that around 1,764 seats for MBBS and 1,012 seats for B.D.S will be available for counselling and admission.

5. In case of a tie, how will the rank of a candidate be determined?

In case two or more candidates get the same score, the rank will be finalised based on the below-mentioned criteria:
