Gujarat MBBS Counselling Important Dates 2023

The registrations for Gujarat NEET state counselling will begin after the results of the NEET 2023 exams are out. The counselling will be organised to provide admissions to the government, management and NRI seats in the medical/dental courses. The admission to the MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS courses will be conducted in three stages online at the official website. The authority will conduct the third or mop-up round of counselling depending on the availability of seats.

Candidates must purchase the PIN from the official website by paying an amount of INR 200 before registration. Once the PIN is generated, they can register online for the Gujarat NEET UG Counselling 2023. The seats will be allotted based on the merit list prepared by the committee.

Gujarat NEET UG Counselling 2023 - Courses Offered

Apart from MBBS and BDS courses, the conducting authority also conducts Gujarat NEET UG Counselling schedule to provide admissions to various other courses, including:

Gujarat NEET State Counselling - Eligibility Criteria

Only the candidates who fulfill the specifications are eligible to apply for Gujarat NEET UG Counselling 2023. Here it is as follows:

• Candidates must be a citizen of India.

• Candidates must have completed 17 years on or before December 31, 2023.

• They must possess a Gujarat domicile.

• Under the NRI category, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and Persons of Indian origin (PIO) can also apply.

• They must have qualified for the NEET 2023 exam.

• A candidate must have passed Class 11 & 12 from a state-recognized board/institute.

• They must have qualified for Class 10th & 12th exams with Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and English as core subjects with a minimum of 50% for the general category, 40% for SC/ST, and 45% for Physically-challenged candidates.

Gujarat NEET UG Counselling Schedule & Procedure

Candidates can visit the official website of the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) to get themselves registered for NEET 2023 exam. Here is the procedure:

Online Registration

• Candidates wishing to apply for the Gujarat NEET state counselling must register on the official website of ACPUGMEC, Gujarat medadmgujarat.org. 

• Click on the “New Registration” button and fill in the required details such as Name, Date of birth, NEET score & Roll no, Email Id, Mobile number, etc.

• After filling in the details, click on the “Submit” button.

• After registration, candidates will get a login Id and password on their registered email Id and mobile number. 

• Log in to the website and enter personal and academic details such as Category, Domicile, Educational Qualification, etc.

• Candidates are required to pay a registration fee online. The registration fee for the General/OBC category is INR 2000, while for SC/ST category, it is INR 1000.

Preparation of Merit List

After documentation verification, the conducting authority will prepare the merit list of candidates who applied for Gujarat NEET UG Counselling. The merit list will be based on the ranks & marks of the candidates in the NEET exam and will be updated on the official website.

Choice Filling

Candidates whose name appears in the state merit list of Gujarat NEET UG counselling must log in to their registered accounts and fill in their preferences regarding courses/colleges they want to pursue. Candidates are advised to fill out multiple choices to brighten their chances of securing a seat. Once the choice is locked, it can’t be changed or altered.

Seat Allotment 

The candidates will be allotted the Gujarat NEET UG Counselling schedule seats based on their merit and the choices filled. The results of the counselling or seat allocation will be updated online.
