CG NEET UG counselling 2024- Eligibility Criteria

All the aspirants are advised to develop a deep understanding of the eligibility required to apply for CG NEET UG counselling.  The fundamental criteria are here as follows:

• All applicants seeking admission in MBBS and BDS courses in Chhattisgarh must be Indian citizens.

• Candidates with Chhattisgarh domicile status are also eligible to participate.

• The applicants must have qualified for the NEET UG 2024 entrance test.

• Candidates must have passed Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology, and English as core subjects with a minimum of 50% marks; 40% marks for SC/ST category candidates, and 45% marks are a must for Physically Handicapped candidates.

• They must have completed Class 11 and 12 from a state-recognized University or Board.

• The applicant should have completed 17 years as of 31-12-2024. The candidates born on or after 02-01-2004 will not be eligible for counselling.

Registration Process

Candidates who want to participate in the Chhattisgarh NEET UG counselling 2024 must get themselves registered on the official website of the DME. Here is how to do it:

• Go to cgdme.co.in

• Register on the official website using a valid email id and mobile number

• Enter the required details in the application form carefully, such as - Name, parents’ Name, scores in NEET UG 2024, Academic Details, contact number, gender, domicile, category, etc.

• Create a password and choose a security question.

• Review the application form thoroughly and submit it.

• Pay the registration fee of INR 1000 online.

• Login ID and password will be sent to your registered email ID.

Choice Filling

When the registration process is complete, candidates must fill in their choices or preferences for colleges/courses in which they want to secure admission for Chhattisgarh MBBS counselling. They must first log in to their registered account and fill in their selections. 

Here, all the candidates need to remember that they can’t be changed or altered once the choices are marked. Thus, they are advised to fill in as many choices as possible. 

Release of Seat Allotment List

The conducting authority will grant the seats depending on the choices marked by the candidates, NEET UG scores & rank, number of seats, reservation criteria, and many other factors. After the first round of CG NEET UG counselling, the vacant seats will be carried forward to the second round.

Tie Break Criteria

The authority will administer the tie-breaking criteria after the NEET UG 2024 results are announced. The process starts when more than two candidates score the same marks on the admission exams. Here are the steps which are followed here:

• The overall scores will be considered in case of high marks in Biology.

• In case of equal marks in Biology and Chemistry, both will be counted, and priority will be given to the subjects in order.

• If two applicants have the same scores in Biology, and Chemistry, their date of birth will be considered, and the older one will be on the priority list.
