The responsible authority for Arunachal Pradesh MBBS admission 2020 is the Arunachal Pradesh Directorate of Higher Technical Education or APDHTE. This organization will be responsible for filling in the 85% state quota seats for the MBBS and BDS programmes. The application form for the MBBS admission will usually get released in the second week of June. but this year the entire timeline has been disrupted due to the nationwide coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. The schedule for the exam has not been announced yet.

Although the application form will be released online, candidates have to submit the application form through offline mode while following some necessary steps and guidelines. Upon successful registration, candidates will be eligible to appear for the counselling that is conducted for the admission purpose of Arunachal Pradesh MBBS. In order to be eligible for the admission, all the candidates must qualify NEET 2020 with the minimum qualifying percentile. Arunachal Pradesh MBBS Admission 2020 Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who are seeking MBBS admission in the medical colleges of Arunachal Pradesh need to fulfil the below criteria.

  1. All the candidates have to fulfil the NEET eligibility criteria for admission purpose. 

  2. Candidates who have passed their Class 10th and Class 122th board exams from the state itself are eligible for the 85% state quota seats. On the other hand, if the candidate has studied in another state or another country and his/her parents stayed in Arunachal Pradesh for at least 15 years will be considered for the admission process as well.

  3. All the MBBS/BDS aspiring candidates must secure the minimum qualifying percentile in the NEET 2020 examination.

  4. To be eligible, a candidate must be of 17 years of age as on December 31, 2020, and 25 years of age as on May 07, 2020.

Arunachal Pradesh MBBS Admission Application Process:

  1. Upon fulfilling all the aforementioned eligibility criteria, a candidate will be eligible to appear on the MBBS merit list of Arunachal Pradesh. Once the merit list is published, he/ she will be able to submit the application form for the MBBS/BDS programmes. 

  2. The submission can be done through the official website of APDHTE.

  3. The submission can also be done offline as well in a ‘A4 size cloth line cover’ while addressing the application to “The Director of Medical, Education T&R, Naharlagun, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Pin - 791110”.

  4. The candidates should fill up all the details carefully. 

  5. Upon successful completion and submission of the application form, it is mandatory to get a printout of the same for further use. 

Arunachal Pradesh State MBBS Admission 2020 - Counselling:

For Arunachal Pradesh State MBBS Admission 2020, every candidate has to follow a certain step by step procedure. The entire process is given in the following. Take a look.

  1. The first and foremost step for every candidate is to do registration for the counselling once their names appeared on the merit list.

  2. Every candidate has to be present at the counselling venue along with the date and time which will be notified through email or SMS or on the registered mobile number.

  3. Allotment of a seat will be provisional when a candidate’s candidature, qualification, and documents have been checked and verified by the respective authority/ counselling committee/ principal of the allotted college. 

  4. It is mandatory to carry along a copy of the online application form along with the other relevant documents on the day of counselling. Failure to which will lead to cancellation of the admission process for the candidate. 

Arunachal Pradesh State MBBS Admission 2020 - Documents Verification:

Candidates appearing on the merit list can attend the counselling session. There are generally two rounds of counselling sessions held by the authorities. And, if required, an extra mop-up round is also being held sometimes. The schedule for the counselling session and the respective venues will be announced on the official website of APDHTE.
