1. What is Chapter 7 of Class 7 Science about?
Chapter 7 "Weather, Climate and Adaptations of Animals to Climate" of Class 7 Science tells us about the various terms like weather, climate and adaptations of animals. In this Chapter, students will learn in detail about the weather and climate of different places. They will also learn how living creatures adapt themselves according to the climate of that particular place where they live.
2. What is the definition of weather according to Chapter 7 of Class 7 Science?
The weather of a particular place is defined as the condition of the atmosphere. The weather may be sunny, rainy, windy or cloudy. The conditions on which weather depends are precipitation, humidity, temperature and pressure of the atmosphere of that place. The temperature change will result in a change in weather.
For example, if the temperature of a place is 75 degrees then the weather of that place will be hot and sunny.
3. What does the term climate mean in Chapter 7 of Class 7 Science?
The term climate of a place is defined as the average pattern of the weather of that place. It has taken over a long time, maybe 25 years or so. The variation in climate is due to variation in pressure, temperature, precipitation, wind humidity and altitude from place to place. The climate of a place is not permanent it keeps on changing.
For example, in January, it is expected to be cold in the Northeast whereas in July it is expected to be hot in the Southeast.
4. How many questions are there in Chapter 7 of Class 7 Science?
