Are Gorillas Hairless Chimpanzees?

Gorillas are mild behemoths and display many human-like behaviours and affections, in the way of amusement and depression. In fact, gorillas share 98.3% of their genetic code with humans, as they are closest cousins subsequent to chimpanzees and bonobos. Gorillas far outweigh chimpanzees, and they are much taller also. The average ape is exaggerated by 3-5 extremities and weighs 50-150 pounds, while gorillas range in size from 3-6 feet long and weigh 200-500 pounds.

Some gorillas are considered to be even more than this, which is much more than some order of mammals will ever weigh. Male gorillas can reach a length of 1.4 to 1.8 metres. The span of their arms usually has a radius of 2.3 to 2.6 metres. Female gorillas are relatively small compared to males.

Gorilla Features and Habitat

The average size of a wild gorilla is about 143 kg. Gorillas in zoos and other artificial cages tend to be heavy. The adult male gorilla is known as the silver gorilla because of the silvery hair on its back. His eye colour is dark brown. A black circle can also be seen around the iris in his eyes. Also, his eyes are small and embedded in his  hairless face.

Gorilla's natural habitat is located in sub-Saharan African geological tropical and subtropical forests. They can move from mountains to wetlands. They like dense tropical forests that show little temperature change

Hairless Gorilla  Muscles

Gorillas have stronger muscles than we do but not as strong as many think. They  are about 1.5 times more powerful than humans when pulling and jumping. However, they are lighter than the average human, so humans can actually surpass them. The image below shows a hairless gorilla. Gorillas are hairless due to Alopecia.

Features and Habitat of Chimpanzee

Chimpanzees are mimics that have approximately had connection with bonobos and human beings. In fact, chimpanzees and bonobos are the tightest living uncles of humans. Chimpanzees are very smart and social animals. They belong to the group of mammals called primates. Chimpanzees are usually about 3 to 5.5 feet. Chimpanzees eat mainly plants, including fruits, leaves, and seeds. They also eat insects and birds’ eggs. Sometimes chimpanzees hunt and bite monkeys and additional animals.

In this article facts, habitat, and features were clearly explained. We learned about Hairless gorillas who have strong muscles and their muscles are useful for pulling and jumping. Hairless gorillas are called hairless because they suffer from an autoimmune disease called alopecia (loss of hair due to disease). They live in Terrestrial places in tropical and subtropical regions.
