Hint-In order to solve this question, we have to use the formula of the area of the rectangle because the floor of the room is of the shape of the rectangle.

Complete step-by-step solution -

Now, we have given that the dimensions of room i.e.
Length$ = 4m$
And Breadth$ = 8m$
And we have to find the number of tiles required to cover the kitchen floor
Also, given that the dimension of tile is $1m$. And the tile is in the shape of a square.
Now,
Area of floor =${\text{Length}} \times {\text{breadth}}$
Putting the value of length and breadth we get,
Area =${\text{Length}} \times {\text{breadth}}$
 $
   = 4 \times 8 \\
   = 32{m^2} \\
 $
Now area of the tile is
$ = 1 \times 1$
$ = 1{m^2}$
Now,
The number of tiles =
$
   = \dfrac{{{\text{ area of floor}}}}{{{\text{area of one tile}}}} \\
   = \dfrac{{32}}{1} \\
   = 32 \\
 $
Therefore, the number of tiles
$ = \dfrac{{32}}{1} = 32$
Note- Whenever we have to face such types of questions the key concept is that we should know the formula of the area of the rectangle. Like in this question we simply apply the area of the rectangle and we get the area of the floor then we find the area of one tile and then we divide them to know the number of tiles required to cover the floor. Hence we get our answer.
