Hint:Pure iron is not used for making pure magnets because it loses its magnetism very easily. Iron cannot retain the electro magnetism because the electric flow will stop in the coil, wound and any soft iron.

Complete answer:
Soft iron can be easily magnetized and demagnetized with a small change in the magnetic field. It is also referred to as soft magnetic materials, because it has low coercivity.Permanent magnet is specially made of alloys that means ferromagnetic materials such as iron, cobalt and nickel. Alnico, Nipermag, steel are the examples of permanent magnets.

Carbon steel is used for making permanent magnets. In order to convert a material into permanent magnet the carbon steel is used, and its placed inside a solenoid. Earth's permanent magnet acts because it has an internal part of earth’s core and impacts its magnetic properties .

Permanent magnets used in electrical instruments are Galvanometer, electric bell, electric motor and loudspeaker. Common use of magnet is pulling force to attract other magnets where it has different functions in electrons as well.

Note:An electromagnet made from coil of wire, acts as magnet when electric current passes through it. We can find Permanent magnet field lines go from north to south, the magnetic field is generated by inter structure of the material itself.
