The National Botanical Research Institute or NBRI located in Lucknow– is amongst one of the (CSIR) constituent research institutes of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi. Originally it was set up as the National Botanic Gardens (NBG) by the UP Government; in 1953, it was taken over by the CSIR.
