Hint: Intercalary meristem is a type of meristem tissue in plants. Meristem is a tissue having cells which are capable of doing cell divisions. The meristems are mainly associated with growth in plants. There are three types of meristematic tissues. They are: apical meristem, intercalary meristem and lateral meristem.
