Hint: The Second World War was a global war between Allied and Axis powers in which Germany, Japan and Italy were the Axis powers and France, Great Britain, United States and the Soviet Union were the Allied powers.

Complete answer: The Second World War lasted from 1939 to 1945. Allied and Axis powers fought against each other for 6 years. It began with the invasion of Poland by Germany and subsequent declarations of war on Germany by France and Britain. Initially, Germany conquered a large area of Europe and formed an alliance with Italy and Japan. Several wars fought between them like Balkan War, Battle of Britain and Biltz and the Battle of Atlantic which further ignited the fire.
Japan also aimed and attacked American and British territories which resulted in the declaration of war against Japan and then in solidarity with ally both sides helped their allies. Japan suffered in this and Allied power invaded German territory and defeated them. Japan still refused to surrender so the United States dropped the first atomic bombs on the Japanese cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 9th August. On 15 August 1945, Allied power occupied Germany and Japan which finally ended the Second World War after 6 long years.

Note: After the Second World War peace treaties were made so that in future no World War can ever happen but the Cold War emerged which means tension between two nations or countries.
