Note: The short-term adaptations help the organism in survival and long-term adaptations are important in evolution of the species. Plants also adapt, allowing their nutrients as sunflowers turn to the way of the sun and insectivorous plants such as Venus flytrap eat pests to satisfy their nitrogen shortage.
