Acid rain is caused when in precipitation it has elevated levels of hydrogen ions. This can harm plants, animals and other things in the atmosphere. The acid rain is caused when nitrogen dioxide and sulphur dioxide are emitted. These both gases react in the atmosphere with water molecules. Then, these acids dissolve in rain and create it as acidic which is termed as acid rain which affects many things in our environment.
