CBSE Class 10 Hindi Course B Syllabus

For the students of CBSE Class 10 there are two parts Hindi A and Hindi B. In Hindi(B) there are a total of 21 chapters in the 3 sections. The first part is ‘Sparsh With most of the chapters in sparsh being short and long poetry and Doha with nine chapters. In the second part, there are some famous dramas and stories of renowned writers. It has eight chapters. The third part is Sanchayan which has four chapters.

1. What are the important Books for CBSE Class 10 Hindi?

2. How many marks are needed to pass the Hindi B board exams?

For the students of CBSE Class 10, there are essentially two parts namely Hindi A and Hindi B. Both the parts are of different context with the literature and stories along with the Dohas for the students to understand and realise their cultural connection. The minimum passing marks of Class 10 Hindi exams are 33 out of 100 marks, as the maximum marks are 100 and the students need to secure a minimum of 33% of the total. The 33 marks include both the written exam and internal assessment. 

3. Is it necessary to choose Hindi as the fifth subject for the CBSE Class 10?

As per the CBSE Class 10, there are two parts for Hindi and it is an optional fifth subject. However, it is not necessary to pick the Hindi language as the fifth subject for the students. The students can also choose Urdu or Sanskrit as the fifth optional subject. The students are made to opt for the languages to prepare them for communication skills and interpersonal skills as well. Helping them develop their language and score good marks in the examination.

4. Will the reduction in the syllabus impact the marking scheme in the CBSE Hindi language and literature?

The CBSE has prescribed a reduction in the syllabus for the students of Class 10 in the Hindi subject. However, no changes will be made in the marking scheme or full marks of any subject for the 2024-25 exam as the students will have the same number of questions as provided in the marking scheme presented above. The only changes will be the increase in the per question weightage of the question paper. Thus, the students are advised to prepare well for the exams and not to stress.

5. What are Hindi A and Hindi B in the CBSE Class 10?

The CBSE Class 10 Hindi has two divisions – Hindi A and Hindi B. The Hindi Course – A & Hindi Course – B. The Hindi Course – A is about Literature, and it mainly focuses on the Hindi Prose and Poetry while the Hindi Course – B is about Hindi acuity, and students who want to skill with the language can work on the Hindi Course – B. Both the parts are to acquaint the students with the language skills and have an easy to moderate level of difficulty.
