JEE Main 2021 Exam Dates Announced

JEE Mains 2021 exam will be conducted from February 23 to February 26, said Union Minister of Education, Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. National Testing Agency will conduct the national entrance exam for the engineering courses in four phases in 2021 - February, March, April, May.

Today Pokhriyal took to Twitter to write:  “We have examined your suggestions regarding JEE (Mains) and on the basis of the same, I am announcing the schedule of the exam”.


The union minister said in a meeting earlier that the consultations with the stakeholders are in progress and the schedule will be released accordingly. Meanwhile, he also mentioned that the syllabus for the engineering entrance exams like JEE will remain the same in this year as well.


NTA announced a brochure mentioning the exam dates of JEE Mains 2021 on Tuesday on their official website, but later withdrew the entire schedule along with the brochure.


In the previous notification, NTA has announced that the entire JEE Mains schedule for the upcoming year in 13 regional languages including English. The first cycle of the JEE Mains 2021 was supposed to be held between February 22 and February 26. Below is the tabulated format of the previous schedule.

  • JEE Mains Registration Starts - December 15, 2020.

  • Last Date of Registration - January 15, 2021.

  • Last Date of Application Fee Submission - January 16, 2021.

  • Application Correction Window Opens - January 18 - January 21, 2021.

  • Release of JEE Mains Admit Card - February 1st week.

How to Register for JEE Mains 2021?

Step 1 - Visit the official website of NTA.

Step 2 - Click on the button ‘Apply For JEE Mains 2021’.

Step 3 - Click on the ‘Register’ button.

Step 4 - Fill in all the necessary details.

Step 5 - Scan and upload the scanned image and signature.

Step 6 - Pay the application fee online/ offline.

Step 7 - Submit your application.

Step 8 - Keep the application number handy for future reference.

JEE Main exam is a national entrance test for the candidates across the country who seek admission in various engineering and architecture programmes offered by the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), centrally-funded technical institutes (CFTIs), and other private institutions across the country.
