JEE Main 2021 Dates: Education Ministry Withdraws Exam Dates

JEE Main 2021 Dates

A few hours after the announcement made by the National Testing Agency on Tuesday (December 15), the Union Ministry of Education has announced that the dates for the JEE Main 2021 exam are not finalised yet. The notification was released in a brochure format on the official website of NTA along with the engineering entrance exam’s pattern and other relevant information. According to the brochure, the JEE Mains exam was to be held in four cycles - February, March, April, and May.



As per the previous notification, JEE Mains 2021 was supposed to be held in four attempts. Besides, this was also mentioned that the entrance exam will be held in 13 regional languages, which might be changed later. The admit card would be released in the first week of February, according to the previous notification. The first round of the exam would be held between February 22 and February 25.


As the notification has been withdrawn by the Union Ministry, JEE Mains 2021 aspirants are advised to wait until the new notification gets released by NTA along with the other details.


JEE Mains 2021 Previous Notification

Below are the dates which were mentioned in the previous notification:

  • Registration Starts - December 15, 2020.

  • Last Date of Application - January 15, 2021.

  • Last Date of Fee Submission - January 16, 2021.

  • Application Correction Window - January 18 - January 21, 2021.

  • Admit Card Release - 1st week, February.

JEE Mains 2020 exam had been postponed several times and finally took place in the first week of September. JEE Main is an undergraduate level national entrance exam for candidates who seek admission in various engineering and architecture programmes offered by the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), centrally-funded technical institutes (CFTIs), and other private institutions.
