Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank' has declared the pending JEE Main April session exam dates, putting a stop to all rumours about lingering JEE Main 2021 sessions. The remaining JEE Main sessions will now be conducted in July and August. The third session will take place from July 25 to July 25, and the fourth session will take place from July 27 to August 2, 2021.
While announcing the JEE Main dates, Pokhriyal also stated that students who were unable to register for the exam previously will be given another opportunity to do so. While the third session of the JEE Main 2021 application window will open tonight and close on July 8, 2021. And the registration for the fourth and final session will begin on July 9 and end on July 12, 2021.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced that the JEE Main 2021 April and May sessions would be cancelled due to the spread of Coronavirus. Since the cancellation of the Class 12 board exams by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), social media platforms have been swamped with requests from students and parents to make a definite decision on JEE Main dates.
Earlier on July 6, 2021, the Union Education Minister took to Twitter to state: "I will address you all today at 7:00 pm and will inform you about the information related to the third and fourth stage examination of JEE Main."
NTA is holding the undergraduate engineering admission test — JEE Main – in four sessions this year, which is for the first time in the wake of Covid-19. While the sessions in February and March went over without a hitch, the tests in April and May had to be postponed.
