JEE Advanced 2024 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2024, candidates must meet the following criteria:


  • Be among the top 2,50,000 candidates in the BE/BTech paper of JEE Main 2024 (all categories included).

  • Have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2023 or 2024, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

  • Have been born on or after October 1, 1999 (October 1, 1994 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates).

  • Those who have not yet taken or accepted admission by paying admission fees at any of the IITs in the past.


JEE Advanced 2024 Registration

JEE Advanced 2024 registrations will start after JEE Main 2024 Session-2 results in May 2024.


How to Apply:

Step 1: Visit the official website of JEE Advanced.

Step 2: Create an account and fill in the application form.

Step 3: Upload the required documents.

Step 4: Pay the application fee.


Examination pattern:

JEE Advanced is a computer-based test conducted in two papers:


  • Paper 1: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

  • Paper 2: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.


Each paper is 3 hours long and has 180 marks.
