Ans: Yes, the life of farmers and herders of the Harappan cities were different from those mentioned in chapter 2 because here the farmers have a proper source of irrigation, they have tools for ploughing, they have proper granaries to store the grain. But the farmers mentioned in chapter 2 had to depend on rain maybe for irrigation as no source of irrigation was mentioned there. They had to store grains in vessels and pots for future use. There were no tools present for ploughing.

Ans: The three important buildings are the post office, the income tax office and the secretariat building. 

Yes, they are all located in the centre of the city.

  • Post Office: All couriers and packages are received and disbursed from here.

  • The Income Tax Office: Here all the operations of the IT department is done.

  • The Secretariat Building: Here, all the important departments of the State Government have their respective offices. So all the government related work is done here.

Ans: Yes, there are two old buildings in my locality. These were built approximately between 1910-1912. It was built during the rule of Britishers in India and was used for some official work then. This building has been undertaken by the state government and is looked at and maintained by the state government.
