Hanuman Returns to Rama Story

In the aftermath of meeting Sita and setting Lanka on fire, Hanuman returned from Lanka. Hanuman arose like a winged mountain and flew across the sea, which was sometimes visible, and sometimes hidden by clouds until he reached Mahendra. His tail wriggled in the wind as he stood on the mountain roaring like the wind.

When Hanuman returned from Lanka, the monkey host jubilated exceedingly, knowing that Sita must have been found by him. The monkeys danced, ran from peak to peak, waved their clean white clothes, and brought Hanuman fruits and roots to eat. As a result of his brave deed, Sugreeva honoured Hanuman with a ceremony. Rama is overjoyed to see Hanuman return so quickly. In response to seeing them rejoicing, Rama became restless and inquired about Sita's health.

As Hanuman turned to Rama, he gave him a detailed report about his stay in Lanka. Rama's eyes welled up with tears as Hanuman narrated the story of Sita's torture. Moreover, Hanuman informed Rama of the fact that if Sita did not agree to marry Ravana, she would be killed within the next few months.

Hanuman handed over the jewellery Sita had given him, saying, "O lord, Sita loves you dearly. She is eagerly waiting for you to rescue her." Although Rama wept upon seeing the gem, he was happy to know that Sita was alive and that Hanuman had found her.

After that, Rama commended Hanuman for his heroic deeds, which were beyond what was expected of him. Rama praised Hanuman for his self-control and great heartedness and then embraced him like a brother. As a result of Hanuman's selfless service, he thanked him.
