The Story of Arjuna and Krishna in English

During the great Mahabharata war, 2 groups of cousins (Kauravas & Pandavas) were at war for the large kingdom of Hastinapur. Both sides were very powerful and fearless, the only difference was that the Kauravas were very arrogant while the Pandavas were very humble and positive. So, as the war was about to start, both sides were busy in preparation, training, and making strategies. Another important thing was to make an alliance with different powerful kings and kingdoms to help in the war. Therefore, Duryodhana went to Krishna's palace to ask for help.

Next comes extract with Krishna and Arjuna story. As Duryodhana went inside Krishna's room and found him sleeping on his bed. Duryodhana was asked not to disturb Krishna while sleeping. So, he went near Krishna and sat by his head on the bed. He began to wait for Krishna to wake up, and just then Arjuna also entered the room to ask for help.

Arjuna was very calm, intelligent, humble, and respected his elders. So he went and sat near Krishna's feet on the ground. After half an hour, Krishna woke up from sleep and as he opened his eyes he first saw Arjuna by his feet and then saw Duryodhana right beside him.

Krishna then asks both of them the reason for coming to which Duryodhana replies first "I am here to ask for your help in the upcoming war, also I came here first so you should help me." Then said Arjuna "Dear Krishna, I am also here to seek your help in the war." Krishna heard both of them and said "Even though Duryodhana came to me first, due to his ego and arrogance he sat on the bed beside my head. While humble arjuna sat on the floor near my feet to show his respect. But don't worry, both of you are very dear to me so I will surely help both of you." Arjuna and Duryodhana were very confused.

After staying quiet for a few minutes Krishna's Advice to Arjuna was "I will provide my great courageous army (Narayani Sena) to one of you and my guidance and moral support to another one. As I will not take part in the war myself. Arjuna as you are the younger one, I will let you choose first. Tell me which one would you like from me."Duryodhana was very scared that Arjuna would choose the great army and win the war. But surprisingly, Arjuna chose Krishna's guidance and moral support without hesitation. Duryodhana was full of joy and chose the Narayani Sena as help from Krishna. Foolish Duryodhana didn't even think that without Krishna the Narayani Sena was merely an army and chose it. While the smart Arjuna knew that with Krishna's guidance his victory was confirmed.
