The main causes of pollution are industries, vehicle emissions, household chemicals, farming, deforestation, and burning fossil fuels. The effects of these pollutants are extremely long lasting. They are not easily seen in everyday life, but they are harming the environment. Plastic, alone, takes more than 1000 years to start the decomposition process. The governments around the world are taking this issue lightly. So, it is upto us, the young generation, to deal with pollution. There is a lot that we can do in everyday life. You can stop using single-use plastic, you can carry your own to-go cups for drinks, you can also carry your own straw, and you can recycle. You can donate your vegetable waste to your local composting drive. You can take extreme steps like investing in a worm bin for your kitchen to decompose and plant a small garden on your window. You can also support local farmers and buy produce that is ecologically produced. Try to shop in second hand stores. Pollution has caused more damage than ever before in the last five years.
