Aviation in India is divided into military and civil aviation. It is growing at a rapid rate. The waterway network in India is the ninth-largest transportation network in the world.
Roadways and railways are the most widely used means of the transport system in India. India has a network of National Highways which connects all the major cities, states and capitals. It is on the verge of becoming the economic backbone of the country.
The advantages of the roads transport system are:
a.It plays a vital role in the transportation of goods and passengers for short and medium distance and locations.
