Zinc sulphate: Colorless

Ferrous sulphate: Light green

Copper sulphate: Blue

Aluminium sulphate: colorless

When Al is added to ferrous sulphate solution:

2Al + 3FeSO₄ -> Al₂(SO₄)3 + 3Fe

Green color of the solution disappears

When Al is added to copper sulphate solution:

2Al(s) + 3CuSO₄(aq) -> Al₂(SO₄)3(aq) + 3Cu(s)  

The green color of the solution becomes transparent
