This path can be made using electrical wires and they even have a power source, like a battery. The start of the point from where the electron starts flowing is called the source whereas the point where electrons leave the electrical circuit is called the return.

There are two basic types of electrical circuits, series and parallel circuits
A series circuit has only one loop through which current can flow. A parallel circuit has two or more loops through which current can flow. Even if the circuit is interrupted in one of the loops, current can still flow through other loops. If we arrange light bulbs in a parallel circuit and if one of the light bulbs is burnt out, that will not disturb the whole circuit. The best example for parallel circuits is the wiring in everyone’s house.
