Hint: The Indian National Congress (INC) was formed by Allan Octavian Hume in 1885. The first INC session was conducted under the chairmanship of W.C. Bonnerjee in Bombay from 28-31 December 1885.

- The Indian National Congress held its annual session of 1927 in Madras as it adopted a resolution to boycott the Simon Commission, the session was a landmark in the history of the Independence movement. A resolution against the use of Indian troops in China, Mesopotamia, and Persia have also been passed.
- Mukhtar Ahmed Ansari was the President of the session (he also served as the president of the Muslim League in 1918 and 1920).
- He was not from Tamil Nadu, and thus fulfilled the requirements for being president of the INC session, not being from the same region where the session takes place.

In this session, the following important things happened:
- This session decided to boycott the Simon Commission (formed: 8th November 1927) which was set to arrive in India next year (1928).
- A resolution against the use of Indian forces in China, Mesopotamia, and Persia have been passed.
